FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS & ENTERTAINMENT
As well as a fantastic array of winemakers and producers showcasing their best wines, the organisers of the Dorset Wine Festival are delighted to bring you an eclectic and refined programme of wine presentations, masterclasses and live entertainment to our talk tent. Please note that we are adding to to the line up weekly and timings will be published in the printed programme.
1pm & 5pm Saturday
Wine author, television presenter and authority Oz Clarke will be bringing his entertaining and informative knowledge to the entire weekend. As well as giving several talks, chairing the panels and hosting our exclusive Saturday night dinner, Oz will also be available for informal meet & greet. Please form an orderly queue!
Talk & book signing
Decanter's consultant editor and their 2017 Man of the Year 2017 Steven Spurrier is often described as the champion of French wine. He is arguably most famous for the Judgement of Paris tasting in 1976 which changed the world of wine forever! Steven will be giving a talk on the recent release of his memoirs " Wine - a Way of Life". He also owns Bride Valley vineyard in Dorset, their wine are available to sample all weekend.

The theme for this year's festival has been inspired by the Western Cape. South African wine makers have been experiencing a highly exciting, yet challenging, phase in history with severe water shortages leading to the smallest yield in 13 years. Nikki Friedman, MD of Franschhoek's wine farm Môreson will head a panel of producers to share their experience and explain why overall wine quality has actually increased dramatically over the last five years!

If you're a wine novice or would love to know more about a formal qualification wine then don't miss the Enjoy Discovering Wine team. Triple nominee for WSET Educator of the Year, Erica is an enthusiastic and passionate educator who will teach you the secrets to creating food and wine pairings and how to look behind the label.
Pol Roger Champagne

Biodynamic & Organic wine with Les Caves
Importer, distributor, agent and retailer of wines around the world, Les Caves promotes ‘natural wines’ that are expressive of their homelands. Their range shows a great deal of the care and character that is best found in the small, independent wine makers that they represent. Hear more about what makes a wine organic, biodynamic, and natural. What it means when a wine is made with minimal chemical intervention. And what it means when a wine possesses a sense of ‘terroir.’
Q&A with Museum Wines

Come one, come all to the Museum Wines Q & A extravaganza where you can put Daniel and Corey on the spot by bringing samples from around the festival for them to taste blind and, hopefully, identify… wish them luck! They’ll also be answering any wine related queries that you may have. Let them entertain and educate you on the world of wine.

Gritchie Brewing Company

Gritchie Brewing Company (owned by film Director Guy Ritchie) are proud to present their first release beer. English Lore is a 4% ABV pale ale using a combination of traditional English hops and newer English varieties. Come and sample this fine example of nostalgic craft beer at the Toff and Fox; a distinctive and unique bar, converted from a World War II transporter lorry.
Saturday - live entertainment
Take a break from all that swigging and do some jigging! Live entertainment from Dorset's favourite Ukele fusion band The Mother Ukers.
Sunday - live entertainment
Born in New Orleans Louisiana, Acantha Lang as been described as the rock/soul of Janis Joplin crossed with the raw bluesy tone of Tina Turner. We cannot wait.
Painting with wine

Ambassadeur Art deals in works from both national and international artists with a variety of backgrounds From fine art to graffiti, graphic design to tattoo artists they bring a wealth of experience, flavour and techniques to their pieces. They will be displaying a range of pieces available to browse and buy all weekend.
